Grenadines Gold is a green mariculture business based in the Grenadine Island of Canouan. They focus on prioritising, employing, and empowering women and youth. The business specialises in sustainable sea moss harvesting, producing wellness products, and offering educational eco-tours on their farm. These tours provide an engaging and informative experience, allowing visitors to learn about farming techniques the benefits of sea moss, and interact with the passionate individuals behind the operation. With the high youth unemployment rates and women severely disenfranchised, Grenadines Gold aims to use the company as a vehicle to curb these social ills. This project would support Grenadine Gold’s capacity to improve its corporate social responsibility outreach initiatives and establish a business operation warehouse for Grenadines Gold. This would be achieved through a number of initiatives, including:
Training sessions for full-time team members
Establish a standard Grenadines Gold grant
Prepare and conduct beach clean-up events
Source and retrofit a 20 ft container
